Why Us?
SOMATIC MOVEMENT
Over time we all build up muscle tensions – our lives can be busy and often very stressful. When we are busy and stressed we often forget to pay attention to our bodies. Muscle tensions get held and start to accumulate.
When we don’t fully release our muscles they remain slightly contracted – we are often completely unaware of this. But even slightly contracted muscles have an impact on all the other muscles in the body – they require a lot energy – which makes us tired – and they also create inflammation which causes aches and pains.
Somatic Movement teaches us to become aware of tensions and to fully release our muscles so that they are able to work efficiently and effectively and with minimal energy. It can help you to:

Our Team
Sam Cox
Sam has been teaching somatic movement since 2014, offering classes, workshops and one-on-one sessions. Somatic movement is a gentle and effective movement technique which releases muscle tensions in the body. It can help to ease aches and pains and improve flexibility and mobility for general health and wellbeing.
No previous experience is necessary to take part in a class or workshop. The movements are all floor-based.
