To all our Guests at Wintern House Health and Wellness

Due to all the coverage and concern about Coronavirus we feel it would be important to let you all know our efforts to remain available to you.  Your continued care is important to us.

 

On a daily basis we keep our premises very clean but you will notice that we are even more vigilant with our cleaning regime at this present time.

  

The reception team and all users of rooms at Wintern House are fully updated and follow these procedures as a matter of course:

 

Please arrive on time for your appointment – we would prefer for you to wait in your car than wait in the reception area until it is time for your appointment. 

 

Please wash your hands thoroughly on arriving at the centre – follow the signs towards the bathrooms.  Here you will be able to use soap and hot water to wash your hands and dry them with a paper towel.

We have hand sanitisers in reception and washbasins available for public use – please do wash your hands whenever you need to.

 

You will notice that the towels in the bathrooms have been replaced by disposable paper hand towels – please dispose of these in the bins provided.

 

We are wiping down the treatment beds and any instruments thoroughly between each client.

 

Hands are washed thoroughly with soap and hot water between each client.

 

All surfaces are cleaned regularly throughout the day including frequently touched areas such as door handles, light switches, card terminals etc.

 

We have air purifiers wherever possible.

 

The toy basket has temporarily been removed from the reception area to minimise the risk of spreading any bugs.

 

Should I come in or not?

Please do consider if you are well enough to come in.   If you fall into these categories, you are advised not to come in :-

 

 – been abroad 

 – feel unwell (new persistent dry cough, increased body temperature, breathing difficulties, sore throat)

 – over 70 years old

 – pregnant

 – have underlying health conditions as listed by the NHS coronavirus guidelines

If you consider your appointment to be an emergency, please contact us first and we will do our very best to assist you.

 

Please remember we are trying our best to safeguard our team, our guests and our community.

 

Our cancellation policy is still 24 hours, but if you are self-isolating or would like to rescedule then please do call to let us know.  If you are not sure what to do you are welcome to call us on 01348 875221 or view the NHS guidelines online at (https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19).  If you have breathing difficulties, call NHS helpline on 111.

Looking after yourself?

 

Eat a healthy diet – make sure your body has the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and micronutrients needed for optimal health

 

Get adequate rest – Get a good quality night’s sleep to give you the energy to get through the day rather than relying on stimulants like sugar, coffee, energy drinks and tobacco.

 

Stay well hydrated – maximise the effectiveness of your body’s natural defence mechanisms by ensuring you are drinking adequate amounts of water.

 

Exercise frequently – maximise the efficiency of your lymphatic system, which depends on movement to circulate this vital germ-fighting fluid.

 

Wash your hands regularly.

 

The only way to catch anything is to make yourself a hospitable host…be inhospitable to coronavirus!!
